| HERE IS WHAT
JONATHAN’S STUDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT HIS CLASSES
Jonathan’s
classes are where my passion for writing has been nurtured and
supported. He is knowledgeable and encouraging, and his classes
facilitate experiences that are enriching, non-threatening, and
fun!

Meeting Jonathan has turned out to be an important milestone in
my writing career. In about six months, he guided me through the
process of turning a germ of an idea into a complete draft of
my second book, "Spirituality and Success." How do I
explain his ability to increase my focus and output? With one
word: generosity. He literally pours out his knowledge and support
as fast as I can absorb it.

Jonathan
Maberry's enthusiasm, coupled with a down to earth, realistic
knowledge of the writing business makes his classes invaluable.
I look forward to continued learning and success.

As a student
in Jonathan's Novel In Nine Months Class ....I can honestly say
I've never felt more inspired in my writing career. Jonathan has
given me the tools and the confidence to know that I will complete
my project with success. He combines practical business know-how
with tips and exercises for improving writing craft. He is always
generous with his knowledge of the publishing industry, and with
his feedback on my work.

I took
Jonathan's course in the beautiful setting of the Inner Artist
retreat last Sept. (05). It was an incredible amount of help.
Jonathan took me under his wing, allowing me to question him by
e-mail with questions that arose.
Before the course, I had zero sales in 1 1/2 years. My first sale
came two weeks after the course. I have sold 15 short stories
so far and have a novel, God Seed, due out fall of '06. Jonathan's
methods are direct and enduring and his manner is that of mentor
rather than lecturer. I would recommend his course to anyone considering
writing as a profession.

I've
had two workshops with Jonathan and one private consultation.
He's the best I've seen and the best I've heard of. He's very
kind, exceedingly creative, up-to-the-minute and state-of-the-art
about the writing business. The only people who wouldn't derive
benefit from working with Jonathan are people who either can't
write worth a damn or don't care about getting published.

The
Novel in 9 Months class was amazing. I actually finished a 350
page novel in seven months and am well on my way to revising it
for submission. Jonathan’s class made each step so easy
to grasp.

I was
selling articles within two or three months after I attended one
of Jonathan’s lectures at a Writers Conference in Western
Pennsylvania. I had racked up over fifty rejection letters before
that and now I’m getting sales. Gotta love that!

“I’ve
been starting and stopping my novel for fifteen years, and then
I took Jonathan’s course on “How to Get Started”.
Now, eleven months later I’m just putting the finishing
touches on the final draft, and next week I’m going to jump
in and start a second book while I try to sell this one.”

“I’ve
taken a couple of classes by Jonathan Maberry and with each one
I take a giant step forward in my career. He really knows the
shortcuts to making those sales!”

I took
the Nuts and Bolts of the Writing Business two years ago, and
since then I’ve sold three short stories and two articles.
Now I’m writing a nonfiction book on investments, and I
really believe I’m going to finish it and sell it. Jonathan
supercharged me with confidence like no one else ever has.

Jonathan
has, in the short time I have known him, brought out my shortcomings
with respect to my writing in a way that I can respect, succinctly.
The Navy taught me to get to the point in management presentations,
and not mincing words is what I find best in the feedback I get
from Jonathan, that and his real life examples of writing errors
and how we should avoid them. I hope to take the writing I had
to do for my graduate program at Troy State and transfer that
experience into writing material which will sell. Jonathan has
made the transformation from martial artist to writer and I am
confident he can teach this old navy engineer how to successfully
transform also.

Phenomenally
motivating, encouraging, and uplifting—these words are not
hyperbole when used to describe Jonathan Maberry. His ability
to write and market his own material is so impressive as to seem
superhuman, and this alone would make him inspiring to rub elbows
with. But just as impressive is his generous desire to help others
achieve their writing dreams. If you need a good-hearted taskmaster
who will make you do your best work and overcome your resistance
to marketing yourself, he’s your man.

“Transitioning
from non-fiction from fiction is not easy. I was stuck and floundering.
After the first session of “Write Your Novel in Nine Months,”
I was motivated and on task. Jonathan is laying out a roadmap
for our group of budding novelists. He is inspirational and demanding,
the perfect taskmaster. Under his guidance, my rough idea for
a novel is off and running.”

I made
my first magazine sale this year using information I learned from
Jonathan Maberry’s Working the Markets class. After that
class was over I put a bunch of query letters in the mail and,
yes I got some rejections, but I also made my first sale. That
really takes the sting of those rejection letters. Jonathan’s
approach to working the markets takes the fear out of it.
